As more women join the enterprise market and more people become interested in flexible and home working through self employment the market place for Enterprise Facilitation\u2122 in just about any community seems to be a growing one.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">A Diverse Client Base<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Clients come from a wide range of backgrounds and one of the founding principals of the methodology seems to be that help is available for anyone living or working in the community.  Building social systems that ensure that a diverse client base is:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left:30px;\">A)  Recruited, and<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left:30px;\">B)  Provided with a high quality and relevant service, is perhaps a key Sirolli lesson.<\/p>\n<p>He describes the client base as \u201cin the market right now looking not just for employment but also for a way to make a living without compromising their need for dignity\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><em> How does this description fit clients for your enterprise services?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>What about people who are not \u2018in the market\u2019 but who already make a living through benefits and\/or the gray economy?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>What options do they have \u2018to make a living without compromising their need for dignity\u2019? <\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">Indigenous Growth<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Sirolli also claims that \u2018civic leaders are accepting much more readily the notion of indigenous growth\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><em> What does he mean by the concept of \u2018indigenous growth\u2019? <\/em><\/p>\n<p>How does it contrast with other approaches \u2013 such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>business attraction\/inward investment or<\/li>\n<li>developing social infrastructure to attract the \u2018creative classes\u2019?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"postbody\"> <span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">Sustainability and Human Scale<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Sirolli also makes the point that 1000 home based business in a community \u2018cannot even be seen\u2019 while a factory employing a 1000 people will \u2018change the physical landscape, even the air a community breathes\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><em> How is this a compelling reason for person centred economic development and indigenous growth? <\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">Ubiquity of Passion, Intelligence, Self-motivation and Energy<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This is one of the founding assumptions of Enterprise Facilitation\u2122.
