{"id":1401,"date":"2011-07-18T06:35:31","date_gmt":"2011-07-18T06:35:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localenterprise.wordpress.com\/?p=1371"},"modified":"2011-07-18T06:35:31","modified_gmt":"2011-07-18T06:35:31","slug":"smart-lord-sugar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/realisedevelopment.net\/index.php\/2011\/07\/18\/smart-lord-sugar\/","title":{"rendered":"Smart Lord Sugar&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nice move by Lord Sugar to choose Tom Pellereau as his business partner. \u00a0Seriously nice move because Tom&#8217;s skills complement those of the Lord Sugar rather than replicate them.<\/p>\n<p>So many people go into business with people who share similar skills, values and\u00a0attitudes\u00a0leading to a very lop-sided business indeed. \u00a0Perhaps half a dozen people who understand the product or service, but NONE who really love marketing, sales, financial management, compliance or governance.<\/p>\n<p>And I don&#8217;t think that Lord Sugar is a product man. \u00a0At least not any more. \u00a0He is now a &#8216;sales\u00a0and marketing man&#8217; a distribution expert.
