{"id":164,"date":"2008-08-15T08:06:18","date_gmt":"2008-08-15T08:06:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localenterprise.wordpress.com\/?p=164"},"modified":"2008-08-15T08:06:18","modified_gmt":"2008-08-15T08:06:18","slug":"when-an-rda-outplaces","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/realisedevelopment.net\/index.php\/2008\/08\/15\/when-an-rda-outplaces\/","title":{"rendered":"When an RDA Outplaces"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So the LDA are seeking outplacement services to support a &#8216;rightsizing&#8217; that is taking place.\u00a0 Now you would think that for an organisation charged with supporting enterprise they might take an enterprising approach to this opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>So what do they seek to commission?<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Outplacement Support: <\/strong>In order to ensure staff potentially affected by these changes are well supported, we want to have in place a package of outplacement support for them.<br \/>\n<strong>The Opportunity:<\/strong><br \/>\nWe need a supplier who would be able to offer a package that may include the following;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing and running group workshops covering CV development, job search strategies and interview preparation;<\/li>\n<li>One to one coaching and support;<\/li>\n<li>Other tools\/approaches that could usefully support displaced staff.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CVs, job searches and interview preparation.\u00a0 So none of the LDA staff ought to be encouraged to have a look at self employment or entrepreneurship then!<\/p>\n<p>They are happy to promote enterprise for others but less enthusiastic about it as a way forward for the people that they are casting off.<\/p>\n<p>Looks to me like they are putting together an unimaginative figleaf of outplacement support that does not even reflect RDA policy towards encouraging enteprise!<\/p>\n<p>Hey Ho!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So the LDA are seeking outplacement services to support a &#8216;rightsizing&#8217; that is taking place.\u00a0 Now you would think that for an organisation charged with supporting enterprise they might take an enterprising approach to this opportunity.
