{"id":251,"date":"2010-08-16T17:14:45","date_gmt":"2010-08-16T17:14:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/leedscd.wordpress.com\/?p=251"},"modified":"2010-08-16T17:14:45","modified_gmt":"2010-08-16T17:14:45","slug":"learn-the-skills-of-community-organising-in-leeds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/realisedevelopment.net\/index.php\/2010\/08\/16\/learn-the-skills-of-community-organising-in-leeds\/","title":{"rendered":"Learn the Skills of Community Organising in Leeds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align:center;\">&#8230;or if it is good enough for Barack Obama it is good enough for me!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Community_organizing\">Community organising<\/a> seems to be all the rage at the moment.<\/p>\n<p>Leeds Community Organising and Bradford Changemakers are jointly hosting \u00a0a Community Organiser training weekend in September.<\/p>\n<p>The training is taking place over two days on <strong>Saturday 25<sup>th<\/sup> and Sunday 26<sup>th<\/sup> September 2010<\/strong> at <strong>Leeds Church Institute<\/strong> in Leeds city centre (20 New Market Street, LS1 6DG), and will run <strong>from 9.30am to 4.30pm <\/strong>each day.<\/p>\n<p>This is an opportunity to deepen your knowledge of the <strong>principles and practice of community organising<\/strong>, extend your own <strong>leadership skills<\/strong>, and <strong>grow relationships<\/strong> with others involved in the development of Community Organising in Leeds and Bradford.<\/p>\n<p>The full weekend costs <strong>\u00a330<\/strong> per person and includes <strong>lunch and refreshments<\/strong>.
