{"id":803,"date":"2011-12-05T09:57:37","date_gmt":"2011-12-05T09:57:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/leedscd.wordpress.com\/?p=803"},"modified":"2011-12-05T09:57:37","modified_gmt":"2011-12-05T09:57:37","slug":"would-social-enterprise-deliver-a-better-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/realisedevelopment.net\/index.php\/2011\/12\/05\/would-social-enterprise-deliver-a-better-world\/","title":{"rendered":"Would Social Enterprise Deliver a Better World?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just imagine a world where every business is a social enterprise.<\/p>\n<p>There was nowhere to spend your money that was not taking a\u00a0portion\u00a0of it to reinvest in social change, to alleviate hardship and increase social justice.<\/p>\n<p>You eat at a restaurant that uses part of the price of your ham hock to help the homeless find a job. \u00a0You pay a premium on your office space so that your landlord can re-invest some of your cash into supporting entrepreneurs amongst the local poor folk. \u00a0You buy your petrol from an oil company that takes a slice of your cash to improve marine conservation and invest in\u00a0promoting\u00a0democracy in the oilfields of the planet.<\/p>\n<p>Every time you buy something someone puts a smile on the face of the world.<\/p>\n<p>The more we consume the better things get!<\/p>\n<p>Growth is genuinely good!
